Former Oregon Duck Cole Hocker competed in 1500M at Paris Olympics. Here's how he fared

PORTLAND, Ore. — Former University of Oregon runner Cole Hocker has advanced to the finals for the 1,500-meter race in his second Olympic Games.

Hocker placed tenth in the semifinal with a time of 3:32.54, behind teammates Hobbs Kessler and Yared Nuguse.

During the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Hocker won by 0.27 seconds, running a blistering 3:30.59, his personal best. 

Currently, Hocker is ranked eighth in the world in the 1,500-meter race. 

At the 2021 Tokyo Games in the 1,500-meter, Hocker placed sixth. 

The final for the 1,500-meter race is set for Aug. 6 at 11:50 a.m. PST.
