PORTLAND, Ore. — Power was restored to most Pacific Power customers by around noon Tuesday, according to Pacific Power's outages map, after as many as 30,000 customers were without power Tuesday morning in Northeast Portland.

That initial number dropped to about 9,000 customers and then about 3,000 as power was restored to different areas experiencing outages.

The last large outage impacted 3,436 customers. It was located near the Concordia neighborhood, southwest of Portland International Airport (PDX), impacting zip codes 97211 and 97212. As of noon Tuesday, that outage was no longer listed on the map.

The map now shows 66 total customers without power in the Portland area, as of noon Tuesday.

If the power outages lasted later into the day Tuesday, they could have posed a larger problem than normal because Tuesday is a Weather Impact Alert Day due to high temperatures that could reach the high 90s in Portland by the afternoon.
