PORTLAND, Ore. — A highlight of the Portland Rose Festival, the Grand Floral Parade, will weave its way through the Lloyd District this Saturday.
The parade, which draws hundreds of thousands of people, has been a Portland tradition for more than 116 years. It's the final parade of three that take place during the Rose Festival. It features all-floral floats, marching bands, drill teams and dancers, vintage cars, equestrian units and even llamas.
Large crowds are expected to show up this year, especially as the forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s.
The parade is scheduled to go from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 8. Can't watch it in person? KGW will stream the Grand Floral Parade live on the KGW website and app, the KGW YouTube channel and KGW+.
