PORTLAND, Oregon — Tillamook County Creamery Association CEO Patrick Criteser is stepping down later this year and an insider is set to succeed him, the Oregon dairy brand announced Tuesday.
David Booth, the current executive vice president of brand growth and commercialization, was selected by the co-op’s board as the next CEO. He will immediately take over as president and work with Criteser on a transition.
The company did not say what date Criteser will leave.
Criteser has led Tillamook since 2012. Under his leadership the co-op has doubled in size to a $1.3 billion business. It has gone from a regional brand to a nationwide one that includes products across the dairy aisle.
“I have accomplished what I hoped to achieve for the farmer-owners of this amazing cooperative, so I've decided that the time is right for this transition,” Criteser said in a written statement. “Serving in this role has been the greatest honor of my professional career, and I am absolutely certain that our board has chosen the right person to succeed me in David.”
Booth joined Tillamook County Creamery Association in 2015 as vice president of sales. During his time at Tillamook he has held the interim CFO position twice. Prior to Tillamook he spent eight years with Conagra Foods.
