PORTLAND, Ore. — I hope you all are having a safe and wonderful Halloween. This year I got to read some new spooky comics I have never read!

I started with County Crowley from Dark Horse Comics. If you remember I interviewed David Dastmalchian and Lukas Ketner who worked on this comic together. It was amazing. It was so aesthetic and wonderful. I can't wait to read the second issue. It was spooky in both the supernatural way and also the personal human way -- I totally recommend this comic.

I also read two books by Julia Gfrṏrer, whose last name I totally butchered and apologize for. But her comics Dark Age and Too Dark to See were simple in their concept but incredibly unsettling.

Total nightmare fuel. Particularly Too Dark To See, I will be thinking about that comic laying awake in bed wishing I could eliminate all darkness and shadows. Whoops!
