Childish Gambino to come to Portland in first tour in 5 years

Childish Gambino will be bringing "The New World Tour" to Portland on Sept. 24, tickets go on sale Friday, May 17.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, is taking the global stage again for the first time since 2019 in a new world tour — and he's making a stop in Portland. 

"The New World Tour" will make 33 stops across North America before heading to Europe, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. The rapper and actor will be bringing the tour to Portland at the Moda Center on Sept. 24. 

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. May 17 on the tour's website. American Express card members can purchase presale tickets before the general public for North American, Australian and select UK dates.

WILLOW, Willow Smith's musical moniker, will be the opener for the North American concerts.

Childish Gambino recently released "the finished version" of an album he released in 2022, called "3.15.20." To celebrate the new full-length release "Atavista," he dropped a music video for the song "Little Foot Big Foot," which stars Quinta Brunson, Rob Bynes, Monyett Crump and others, according to AP.
