Hottest temperatures of the year set to hit Portland

The Portland metro is under a heat advisory Sunday and Monday. It could see temperatures in the 100s.

PORTLAND, Ore. — KGW's Matt Zaffino forecasts that Saturday will look great with temperatures starting in the mid-70s and rising to 83 later in the day. 

Beginning Sunday morning, Portland and most of Western Oregon will be under a heat advisory. 

With Sunday beginning in the 90s and moving to 100 degrees on Monday, this will be some of the hottest weather Portland, the Willamette Valley, Southwest Washington and Southwest Oregon has seen in over a year. 

The most recent 100-degree day was July 15, 2018.
