PORTLAND, Ore. — High temperatures return to the Portland area on Saturday with the forecast showing a high of 95 degrees.

KGW is issuing a Weather Impact Alert Day for Saturday, as temperatures in the mid-90s will be uncomfortably hot. Temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 80s Sunday with cooler air returning next week.

Late into Saturday night, a weak weather system is expected to drift north offshore. It may be strong enough to produce a few thunderstorms along or off the coast. Clouds from those storms will drift over the western valleys Sunday morning but clear out in the afternoon, according to KGW Chief Meteorologist Matt Zaffino.

Cooler air is expected to return next week with highs topping out in the low 80s as the sunshine continues.

When

Portland temperatures will peak around 95 degrees on Saturday.

Impact

The weather impact of high temperatures reaching the mid-90s will increase the possibility of heat stroke, fatigue and dehydration.
