PORTLAND, Oregon — KGW is issuing a Weather Impact Alert Day for Friday due to widespread rainfall and much cooler temperatures.
Friday will be a stark contrast, with temperatures in the low 60s, and more importantly, rain throughout the day. Expect to see the rain roll in early Friday morning before your morning commute, and the day to start off in the upper 40s.
According to KGW weathercaster Celine Stevens, there’s a potential for up to an inch of rain, but right now, areas like Astoria are likely to come in at a little less than half an inch. In the metro area, expect a little under 0.3 inches. The Portland area will continue to be under a Weather Impact Alert, starting early Friday morning in time for the morning commute.
