Power restored to about 3,400 customers in Mount Tabor neighborhood in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. — UPDATE: As of 10:45 a.m. Sunday, the PGE power outages map no longer shows a power outage in the Mount Tabor neighborhood in Portland.

ORIGINAL STORY:

About 3,400 customers lost power Sunday morning in the Mount Tabor neighborhood in Portland, according to the outages map for Portland General Electric (PGE).

According to the outages map, a crew is onsite and power. Earlier, PGE estimated power would be restored by 9:15 a.m. Sunday but that time has been pushed to 11 a.m., according to the map. The estimated restoration time is subject to change.

The cause of the power outage is unknown at this time.

A smaller power outage affecting about 175 customers in the Buckman neighborhood in East Portland is estimated to be restored by 8:45 a.m.

Portland is in the midst of a severe heat wave with 100-degree temperatures that's expected to last through Tuesday.
