PORTLAND, Ore. — Halloween's weather outlook looks to be on the spooky end. It's one the rainiest Halloweens in the last 10 years, said KGW Meteorologist Rod Hill.
There's a high chance of rain and heavy showers throughout Halloween night in the Portland area. If an umbrella or coat isn't a part of your costume, it may be time to start getting creative.
Frequent showers are expected to pepper the region at peak trick-or-treating hours Thursday evening, according to Chris McGinness, KGW's meteorologist, though the showers are expected to be scattered.
McGinness said this means that one neighborhood may see three or four showers lasting between 15 to 30 minutes on Thursday, followed by an hour or more of dry time, while a neighborhood across town may see fewer or more showers. So, with perfect timing, a dry trick-or-treating night is possible — but not likely.
Updated rain forecast for Thursday, Oct. 31.
