PORTLAND, Ore. — Warm, sunny weather led to record-high temperatures across western Oregon and Washington on Friday, Feb. 11.
Portland hit 67 degrees, breaking the Feb. 11 high of 62 degree set in 1971 — more than 50 years ago!
"In Portland, this is the warmest it's ever been this early in the year," KGW chief meteorologist Matt Zaffino tweeted.
McMinnville, Tillamook and Vancouver also hit record highs for Feb. 11.
"And think, just a year ago we were preparing for one of the worst ice storms western Oregon has ever seen," Zaffino added.
More warm, sunny weather is expected Saturday before clouds start moving in Sunday. Rain and mountain snow are expected to return Monday.
