BANDON, Ore. — A 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck about 127 miles off the central Oregon coast late Monday night.
It was the eighth-largest earthquake reported off the Oregon coast by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in the past 10 years.

The USGS said Monday night's earthquake happened west of Bandon around 11:10 p.m. with a depth of about 6.2 miles.
116 people reported feeling the earthquake, according to the USGS.

A smaller earthquake of 3.2 magnitude also struck near the same location about 3 hours later at 2:14 a.m. That earthquake happened 115 miles slightly southwest of Bandon. It also had a depth of about 6.2 miles. Nobody has reported feeling that earthquake.
