PORTLAND, Ore. — For the seventh consecutive year, Portland International Airport was ranked as the best airport in the United States by Travel + Leisure magazine.
The magazine revealed its annual list of top 10 airports on Wednesday. The airports are voted on by readers of the magazine. They are rated based on access, check-in/security, restaurants/bars, shopping and design.
“This is my home airport, and I wish to write a love song to it,” one reader wrote. “People are friendly, there are ample local shopping and food options, there are free local short films, prices are normal, there's local art, a local distillery, live music...I could go on and on.”
Only one other airport on the West Coast was ranked in the top 10. John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, California, came in at No. 6.
