CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. — TriMet will be detouring buses around Clackamas Town Center this weekend.
The detours will be from 1 to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. They will affect 11 bus lines: 29, 30, 31, 33, 34, 71, 72, 79, 152, 155 and 156.
Bus stops near Clackamas Town Center will be closed, but the transit center at the town center will remain open.
"The stop for eastbound Clackamas Town Center buses will be moved to a temporary location between the entrance of the cinema and Monterey Avenue," TriMet explained in a press release. "From the temporary stop, buses will travel to the Southeast Fuller Road MAX Station, where riders can transfer to the MAX Green Line."
The Green Line will not be affected by the detours, TriMet said.
If travelers are at the Fuller Road MAX Station, they can board a Green Line train to continue to the Clackamas Town Center mall stop. Westbound buses will serve a temporary stop at the Southeast Fuller Road MAX Station before continuing to the Clackamas Town Center Mall stop, TriMet said.
To board MAX, travelers can get off at the Clackamas Town Center Mall stop and head over to the transit center.
These detours are happening for the 11th year as the busiest holiday shopping days of the year unfold, according to TriMet. The agency advised riders to plan an extra 20 minutes for their commutes during the detours.
