PORTLAND, Oregon — A woman died in a crash on Southwest Barbur Boulevard in Portland Friday afternoon. The crash closed a portion of the road in all directions Friday afternoon.
The crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Southwest Barbur Boulevard, just east of the Barbur Transit Center. Officers and first responders arrived to found two vehicles had crashed and one woman died, police said.
An ambulance took another person to the hospital with injuries. Their condition is unknown at this time.
No information is available as to what led up to the crash.
Southwest Barbur Boulevard was closed between Southwest Capitol Highway and 30th Avenue.
This is the 35th traffic-related death in Portland so far this year, according to Portland police.
