PORTLAND, Ore. — One person died and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday night in Southeast Portland.
The crash happened near Southeast Powell Boulevard and 143rd Avenue around 9:25 p.m., according to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB).
A driver heading east crossed into the westbound lanes and crashed into an oncoming car, PPB said. Both drivers were injured in the crash but police expected them to survive.
A passenger in the westbound car died.
PPB said the crash was the 32nd traffic death in Portland this year.
