PORTLAND, Ore. — Two northbound lanes of Interstate 5 are back open about one mile north of Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard in Portland after a semi truck full of live chickens overturned early Friday morning.
The road closure lasted several hours and caused a large backup of vehicles on the interstate during the morning commute.
The Oregon Department of Transportation said crews helped corral the birds. It's unclear what caused the semi truck to crash, or whether the driver of the semi truck was injured.
This is a developing story and it may be updated when more information becomes available.
