PORTLAND, Ore. – Southbound Interstate 5 reopened Saturday afternoon after it was closed for nearly six hours following a semi-truck rollover crash.
The crash occurred just north of Terwilliger Boulevard at around 10:45 a.m. and immediately caused a significant backup.
ODOT said crews removed four pieces of machine shop equipment weighing 13,000 pounds each from the truck. They then had to clear the road of fluids the truck spilled.
The highway was reopened at 4:30 p.m.
ODOT said there were no reports of injuries from the crash. The cause of the crash has not been released.
