PORTLAND, Ore. — A crash involving a truck and a semi carrying diesel closed northbound Interstate 5 at Skidmore Street in Portland for hours during the rush hour commute.
Crews worked for almost four hours to clean up about 100 gallons of spilled diesel and tow the vehicles involved.
All but one southbound lane was also closed earlier, but those lanes are now open, according the Oregon Department of Transportation.
The crash occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. It involved a semi-truck and a pickup truck, according to Portland Fire & Rescue. The crash led to a fuel spill.
