GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore — Highway 35 is back open after several vehicles were involved in spinouts, the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reported Sunday afternoon.
Three vehicles needed assistance to get back on the highway due to icy road conditions. There were no injuries reported.
Officials have advised drivers to take caution on the road with weather conditions.
According to KGW's Weather Forecaster Daisy Caballero, the cascades could see up to 6" of snow by the end of the day.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the foothills of the Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon and North Central Oregon. The foothills impacted by the winter weather advisory can anticipate 2"- 4" of snow above 3,000 FT in elevation.
