RAINIER, Ore. — Highway 30 has reopened near Rainier after a crash Tuesday afternoon closed the highway in both directions for a little more than two hours. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reported at 4:45 p.m. that the highway was back open.

According to initial information from Oregon State Police, the crash that caused the closure was not immediately fatal. However, there were reports of serious injuries as a result of a head-on crash involving two vehicles.

Tuesday's crash happened in the same area as a fatal crash on Friday, July 26, that shut down Highway 30.
