MULTNOMAH COUNTY, Ore — Starting Friday evening and lasting through early Monday, the Hawthorne Bridge will close to all traffic and pedestrians.
The bridge will fully close Friday, starting at 7 p.m., and reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday. It is part of an ongoing project to pave and repair the bridge that is scheduled through fall.
According to the Multnomah County Communications Office, crews will set up detours for pedestrians and cyclists, but commuters need to plan to use alternative routes.
The westbound lane of Hawthrone Bridge also remains closed every weekday, starting at 2 p.m. and reopening at 5 a.m. the next morning. Those closures will last until mid- to late August, the Multnomah County Communications Office said.
