Oregon City man dies, 4 injured in Highway 30 crash

GOBLE, Ore. — An Oregon City man died and four others were injured in a crash that closed Highway 30 for several hours near Goble on Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred at Nicolai Cutoff Road and Highway 30, about  10 miles south of Rainier.

A Cadillac Escalade left the road, went up an embankment and rolled several times before coming to rest on its top.

One passenger, 61-year-old Barry Robinson Jr., died at the scene.

The driver and three other passengers were all injured in the crash.

It's unclear what caused the SUV to leave the road.
