PORTLAND, Ore. — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Southeast Portland on Wednesday morning, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) reported.
The crash happened around 6:45 a.m. in the area of Southeast 109th Avenue and Division Street.
PPB said the driver stayed at the scene of the crash and is cooperating with the police. PPB has not reported as of Wednesday morning whether any citations were issued or arrests made, or whether there was any evidence of driver impairment.
Traffic will be impacted in the area while PPB's Major Crash Team investigates.
This is the 67th traffic fatality in Portland this year, police said.
