PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police are investigating a fatal crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian on eastbound Interstate 84.
On Monday, police identified the man killed as 53-year-old Tony Marvin Stephenson.
At 4:41 a.m. on July 14, officers responded to a crash just west of the Interstate 205 interchange. They found a pedestrian dead at the scene. The driver involved remained at the scene. He was interviewed and released.
Police police said no arrests have been made and that the investigation remains ongoing.
The eastbound lanes of I-84 were closed for several hours during the investigation.
This is the 26th traffic-related fatality this year in Portland.
The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is investigating.
