RIDGEFIELD, Wash. — All southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Ridgefield have reopened after they were closed for several hours following a fatal crash early Tuesday morning. The Washington State Department of Transportation reported at 7:25 a.m. that the traffic backup is nearly 5 miles long so drivers should plan for extra travel time.
The crash happened shortly after 3 a.m. KGW photographer Eric Patterson, who is at the scene, reported that a pedestrian was hit.
