Crash takes two lives on Highway 26 in the coast range

A vehicle crossed the centerline and hit another nearly head-on Friday, according to Oregon State Police.

BUXTON, Oregon — Two people died and another was seriously injured in a crash early Friday afternoon in the coast range.

Oregon State Police said a vehicle was driving west on Highway 26 when it crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle nearly head-on just after 12:00 p.m. The crash was reported near Northwest Ridge Road.

Investigators say it is unknown why the first vehicle veered from their lane. The driver, identified as Mark Kingman, 69, of Brinnon, Washington died at the scene. 

The driver of the second vehicle, Zeinab Muhieddine Kabbani McBoul, 52, of Seaside was seriously injured. A passenger identified as 92-year-old Mariam El Hindawi of Seaside was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
