All I-205 lanes reopen after crash causes vehicle fire over Columbia River

Two cars on fire on the shoulder of I-205 temporarily forced the closure of all southbound lanes on the Glenn Jackson Bridge over the Columbia River.

PORTLAND, Ore. — I-205 southbound lanes have fully reopened following a crash that caused a vehicle fire on the Glenn Jackson Bridge over the Columbia River on Monday afternoon.

Traffic was steadily moving again after a several mile-long backup. Oregon Department of Transportation said drivers should "prepare to slow or move over for worker safety."

No injuries have been reported yet.
