VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Sixteen-year-old Jordan Chiles is one of the best gymnasts in the country.
In August she finished second at the P&G National Championships and put herself in the mix for a spot on USA national team for the World Championships. She’s one of 10n athletes going to this month’s World Championship selection camp. Four will go to the event.
Chiles is a junior at Prairie High School in Vancouver but spends most of her time training at Naydenov Gymnastics.
Chiles started gymnastics when her mother decided to find something to help her burn off some energy. Chiles says, “I just like getting my energy out. If I don’t I bounce all over the place.”
