PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Thorns FC unveiled a set of new jerseys for the 2024 season that feature bold red and blue colors to represent the club and women's soccer moving in an upward trajectory.
One of the new kits, called Forever Thorns, designed by Nike, took two years to develop. It aims to represent an expression of joy seen on match day at Providence Park. The bold-colored thorns seen on the jersey signify a "move in upward trajectory," symbolic of the club's pursuit to raise the bar for not just itself but for the league and women's soccer.
The other new kit, called Reflection, represents Portland.
"The connection between our fans, the club, and our city – it’s bigger than soccer," the news release said. "It is a symbiotic relationship rooted in civic pride, passion, and authenticity."
The Portland Thorns will debut the new kits during its club opener on March 16 against the Kansas City Currents and its first home game on March 24 against NJ/NY Gotham FC.
