Lolo Jones has scratched out of the 100-meter hurdles at the U.S. Olympic trials, perhaps closing the book on her Summer Olympics career.

The U.S. trials begin Friday in Eugene, Ore. (the 20-kilometer race walks are Thursday in Salem, Ore.); heats for the 100 hurdles begin July 7.

Jones — who will turn 34 on Aug. 5, the day of the Rio Olympics opening ceremonies — is a two-time Summer Olympian, famously hitting the next-to-last barrier while leading the 100 hurdles race in Beijing in 2008 and finishing seventh. She finished fourth in the 2012 Olympics in London.

She is one of 10 Americans to compete in both the Summer and Winter Games. She finished 11th in bobsled at the 2014 Games in Sochi.

Jones withdrew because of an unspecified injury. She has not competed since Feb. 14, according to NBC Sports, citing Tilasatopaja.org. She said at the time that she was “running out of time” and in “a dire situation.”

Jones was a three-time NCAA champion at LSU and is a two-time world champion in the 60 hurdles.
