The Kraken also have 10 nationally televised games this season. Those games will not air on KGW or KGW 8.2.
The preseason starts Sept. 22 and the regular season begins Oct. 8 with a home match against the St. Louis Blues.
KGW announced a multi-year partnership with the Kraken in April 2024 to broadcast all non-nationally televised Kraken games during the preseason, regular season and postseason for free over the air. The games will be broadcast by KGW and fellow TEGNA stations KING 5 and KREM in Seattle and Spokane.
The Kraken are also partnering with Prime Video to stream the games for Prime members in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
"We want fans to be able to sit down and watch the games together as a family at home and stream them on a tablet on the go," Kraken CEO Tod Leiweke said in April. "I am thrilled to have trusted partners in TEGNA and their leading local broadcast stations and Prime Video."
