PORTLAND, Ore. — On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will be taking on the field for the 2024 Super Bowl. Whether you're rooting for your favorite team, or just watching for Usher's halftime show, there are plenty ways to spend the occasion.
For some, that means ordering in pizza and watching the game at home. But for others, the NFL championship is all about bonding with other sports fans in the community.
Below is a list of places in Portland that are hosting watch parties with their own twist. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m.
Punch Bowl Social
Location: 340 Southwest Morrison Street, Suite 4305
What to expect: Punch Bowl Social will be offering exclusive food and drink specials including $25 buckets of Bud Light, Super Bowl themed cocktails and 'Baller Platters.' Fans can play Big Game Bingo to win a prize while watching the game. The usual free games will be available, including corn hole, darts and board games. Other games, which require a fee, include Ping Pong, Floor Shuffle, Foosball and Bowling. Table reservations can be booked for free on the Punch Bowl Social website.
Satellite Tavern
Location: 5101 North Interstate Avenue
What to expect: Fans can indulge in 'Big Game nibbles' at Satellite Tavern, including nachos, chips, dip, wings and more. There will be a variety of local draft beers and Jell-O shots decorated in team colors. The tavern will also give raffles with prizes. Open seating is under a 'first come first serve' principle.
Brix Tavern in the Pearl District
Location: 1338 Northwest Hoyt Street
What to expect: Brix Tavern is offering food and drink specials during the game, quarterly prizes and more, according to their Instagram. The game will be streamed on nine different screens for fans to watch.
Birdie Time Pub
Location: 925 Southeast Main Street
What to expect: Birdie Time Pub is offering a wide variety of beers, cocktails, finger foods and burgers during the game. The space includes a mini golf course which requires an $8 fee. At the end of the Super Bowl, Birdie Time Pub will be raffling off a gift certificate worth $85 for one hour free to their Golf Simulator and Gameroom. Reservations are not required but are recommended for parties of six or more.
The Independent Sports Bar & Grill
Location: 225 Southwest Broadway, Unit 100
What to expect: Every guest that goes to The Independent Sports Bar & Grill during on Sunday will be entered into a raffle to win a swag bag at the end of the game. The restaurant will be serving nachos and other game day food. Open seating is under a 'first come first serve' principle.
