Will we see a repeat of 2023?
Last year's matchup between the Seahawks and Lions was one of the most exciting matchups in the entire regular season.
The teams combined for 68 points, 811 yards, 53 first downs and nine touchdowns, including four in the final 15 minutes of action.
Points were flying everywhere in a matchup the Seahawks escaped with a 37-31 road victory in overtime, which helped buoy the team through what would end up being Pete Carroll's final season.
The teams are set up for another high-octane game Monday night if the conditions warrant it. The Seahawks have found some early success within Ryan Grubbs' offensive scheme and their Week 2 performance showed their willingness to push the ball down the field.
Detroit, meanwhile, has underperformed offensively given its respective talent. Last season's fifth-ranked scoring offense is down to a mediocre 16th in points per game, but they still have one of the best offensive lines in football and playmakers Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, David Montgomery and Sam LaPorta - a wealth of capable receiving options to fight back in a theoretical high-scoring affair.
Game prediction
Lions 27, Seahawks 24.
You could tell me any scoreline and any winner in this game and I would not bat an eye. I'm giving the slight edge to the home team in a game they need to prove that their offense is functioning.
