SEATTLE — College football's biggest show will make a rare appearance live from Seattle this weekend, ahead of the top 10 matchup between the University of Washington and the University of Oregon at Husky Stadium.

"College GameDay" will be live on national television from 6 to 9 a.m. PT Saturday morning, before Oregon and Washington kick off at 12:30 p.m.

Here's everything you should know about either heading down to the University District to catch the show in person or tuning in from home.

Where is College GameDay's stage set up at UW?

The College GameDay crew, as they have in each of the past two instances it came to the school, has set up its stage at UW's Red Square.

The pit adjacent to the main stage will open at 4 a.m. and will be available for fans and students on a first-come, first-serve basis. According to the show's website, students are encouraged to wear school colors, and all participants in the pit are subject to ESPN's security guidelines and procedures.

Oregon-Washington rivalry history

Although UW's main rivalry remains (for now) the annual Apple Cup against Washington State University, Oregon and Washington have developed a contentious relationship over years of being two of the best football programs in the Pacific-12 Conference.

Washington leads the overall series between the schools 61-48-5, but Oregon has won three of the past four matchups. A season ago, UW went down to Autzen Stadium and stunned the No. 6-ranked Ducks 37-34.

Few matchups in the rivalry's history have been as highly-anticipated as Saturday however, with both teams sitting in the top 10 and the winner will propel itself into the forefront of the College Football Playoff conversation.

What are College GameDay's rules about being in the pit?

ESPN's website lists the following items as being prohibited in the area behind the stage: bags (of any kind), food and drinks, pens, pencils, markers or dry-erase boards and signs on sticks.

One of College GameDay's richest traditions is the creative signs held by students and fans behind the stage. ESPN does have sign rules, including "no vulgar signs, .com, .net, .org, political or religious signs are allowed. For fans entering the pit, signs cannot be on poles or oversized."

Who is the College GameDay guest picker for Oregon-Washington?

The College GameDay crew always brings in a celebrity who either went to the host school or has a tie to the area. As it has in the past, College GameDay will have former UW football player and comedy actor Joel McHale as the celebrity guest picker.

What players should I watch for in the Oregon-Washignton game?

Both teams feature one of the top quarterbacks in the country. Michael Penix Jr. is the favorite for the Heisman Trophy and Bo Nix has put up some of the best numbers of any QB in college football.

The most intriguing matchups of the day will be on the outside. UW has arguably the best trio of wide receivers in the country, and Oregon's secondary is widely considered one of the more elite units around.
