Oregon State is led by second baseman Travis Bazzana, the Pac-12 player of the year and a projected top MLB draft pick this summer.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Oregon State and Oregon both made the NCAA Division I baseball tournament, with the Beavers being selected to host a regional in Corvallis and the Ducks getting in as an at-large selection headed to the Santa Barbara Regional.

The 16 regional hosts were announced Sunday by the Division I Baseball Committee, with all 16 hosts locking up spots in the national tournament. The rest of the 64-team field and first-round matchups were unveiled Monday.

Oregon State (42-14, 19-10 Pac-12), the 15th overall seed in the tournament, finished second in the Pac-12. The Beavers are led by second baseman Travis Bazzana, the Pac-12 player of the year who's having a monster season (.424 batting average with 26 home runs) and is expected to be a top MLB draft pick in this summer. Oregon State lost only twice at Goss Stadium, with 24 wins against just the two losses.

The Beavers will play Tulane in its first regional game on Friday. The game will air on ESPNU.

Oregon (37-18, 19-11), making its fourth consecutive postseason appearance, finished third in the Pac-12. The Ducks are led by freshman shortstop Maddox Molony (.355, 10 homers in 38 games), an all-conference first-team selection.

Oregon opens the Santa Barbara Regional Friday against San Diego (40-13) at noon on ESPNU.
