PORTLAND, Ore. — The No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes take on the No. 3 Oregon Ducks for the first-time this season.

Saturday's game marks Ohio State's second-ever trip to Autzen Stadium in Eugene in their 11 matchups between the two programs.

Oregon:

In his third year leading the program, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning has guided the Ducks to a 27-5 record but is still seeking his first win against a top-5 opponent — like the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Oregon's offense is led by 6th-year senior quarterback Dillion Gabriel this season, who spent the last two years at Oklahoma. In the last Ducks' game, Gabriel threw for 257 yards on 20-32 passing (80%), tossing two touchdowns and two interceptions, plus three rushing attempts for 22 yards and a touchdown. 

Junior running back Jordan James and 5th-year senior wide receiver Tez Johnson remain the Ducks top targets. Each have five touchdowns this season. James has rushed for 552 years, a team-high, and Johnson leads the team with 43 receptions. 

Ohio State:

Ohio State seeks to win the national title this year making Oregon a formidable opponent. Heading into Saturday, the Buckeyes and Ducks both boast a 5-0 record, with Ohio State looking to stay on top. 

In the Ohio State's last game, senior quarterback Will Howard finished with 209 yards on 21-25 passing (84%), tossing four touchdowns and one interception, plus 10 rushing attempts for 28 yards and a touchdown. 

Junior running back Quinshon Judkins rushed for 78 yards on 13 attempts and freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith went for 89 yards on four receptions and a touchdown.
