PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Trail Blazers signed guard Taze Moore on a two-way contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Moore joins forward Justin Minaya and guard Bryce McGowens as players under two-way contracts with the Blazers for the 2024-25 season.

Last season, Moore, a 6-foot-5 guard, played in 22 games for the Rip City Remix, Portland’s G League team. He averaged 15.6 points, 7.2 assists and 5.1 rebounds in 30.7 minutes per game, shooting 49.8% from the field, 35.1% from 3 and 73.3% from the free-throw line.

He also played four games for the Blazers last season, averaging 4.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 10 minutes per game. He was the first player in Rip City Remix history to be called up to the NBA.

Moore went undrafted after a college career that included stints at Cal State Bakersfield and Houston. He was selected ninth in the 2022 NBA G League Draft by the Texas Legends and played the 2022-23 season and part of the 2023-24 season for the Legends before he was traded to the Remix.

In the NBA, two-way contracts don't count against a team's salary cap or their official roster, which is capped at 15 players. Teams can sign up to three players at a time to two-way contracts. Players on two-way contracts can move back and forth between the NBA team and the team's G League affiliate.

Trail Blazers media day is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 30. Training camp will begin the next day and Portland's first of four preseason games is Friday, Oct. 11 against the L.A. Clippers at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. Portland's regular-season opener is Wednesday, Oct. 23 at home against the Golden State Warriors.
