PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Trail Blazers released their 2024-25 regular season schedule Thursday, kicking off with an Oct. 23 home game against Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors — the first of three games in a row to be held at the Moda Center.

After the season opener, the Blazers play at home against the New Orleans Pelicans for two games, Oct. 25 and 27. The first road game of the season will be against the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 28, followed by the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome on Oct. 30.

Reigning division champs Oklahoma City Thunder visit Rip City on Nov. 1, after which the Blazers will be back on the road for four games.

Group play begins Nov. 12, now called the Emirates NBA Cup. The Blazers released their group-play schedule earlier this week, which includes games against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings, and the LA Clippers.

Only eight NBA teams will advance to the NBA Cup knockout rounds, culminating in a championship game.

There are more than 80 scheduled games in the full regular season, plus two more games that will be determined later — part of the NBA's in-season tournament. There are 13 back-to-backs.

Being the only Pacific Northwest team means more traveling for the Blazers, picking up nearly 50,000 miles. The longest road trip is for seven games over 12 days, beginning in late February.

On the flip side, there are two seven-game homestands at the Moda Center. There are no games scheduled on Thanksgiving or Christmas.

The NBA also revealed a sense of humor: The third week of January is being branded "Rivals Week," and Portland visits Miami that week. The two fan bases have been beefing since before the Blazers traded Damian Lillard.

On Wednesday, the Trail Blazers announced their breakup with ROOT Sports. While the team has yet to announce next steps, the Blazers are discussing deals with multiple broadcast partners and will also have a "direct-to-consumer" streaming option before the start of the season, according to a source for KGW news partner the Portland Business Journal.

Beyond that, televised games will be few and far between. The Blazers are scheduled to play one game on TNT and three on NBATV. The first happens Jan. 28, when the team faces ex-Blazer Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

The regular season ends at home against the LA Lakers on April 13. The Trail Blazers' entire 2024-25 regular season schedule can be viewed at trailblazers.com/schedule.

Season Ticket member presales will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 20 while single game tickets will be available to the public on Friday, Aug. 23. Visit trailblazers.com/tickets for more information.
