PORTLAND, Ore. — The second round of the 2024 NBA Draft is Thursday afternoon and the Portland Trail Blazers have two of the first 10 selections at No. 34 and No. 40. Early picks in the second round are valuable, so Portland could use them to draft a couple more players or field trade offers from teams looking to add young talent with inexpensive salaries.
On Wednesday night, in the first round of the draft, the Blazers drafted Donovan Clingan, widely viewed as one of the top three or four prospects in the draft, with the seventh overall pick. About an hour before the draft, Portland reportedly agreed to a trade for Washington Wizards small forward Deni Avdija that will send Malcolm Brogdon and draft picks, including the 14th overall selection in Wednesday's first round, to Washington.
Here's a look at how to watch the second round of the NBA Draft and some of the top players still left on the board. Also, a reminder that Bronny James, the oldest son of LeBron James, has yet to be drafted and may hear his name called on Thursday.
