8 worst college football games for ejections, arrests in 2016

Based on records provided by Pac-12 teams, these college football games had the most fan arrests, ejections or altercations.
Oregon Ducks vs. Oregon State BeaversNov. 26, 2016The Civil War game between Oregon State and Oregon in Corvallis ended with 49 ejections. The oldest fan kicked out of the game was 73 years old. 

Based on records provided by Pac-12 teams, these college football games had the most fan arrests, ejections or altercations.

(Note: Eight of the 12 teams in the Pac-12 conference provided arrest and ejections records. University of Southern California and Stanford declined because they are private institutions. Arizona and UCLA said they do not have responsive records.)

Eastern Washington Eagles vs. Washington State Cougars

Sept. 3, 2016

Security responded to 91 incidents during Washington State’s home opener in Pullman, Wash. Nine people were ejected. One man was cited and released after a security found him in the women’s restroom.

Texas Longhorns vs. Cal Bears

Sept. 17, 2016

Some fans got a little too rowdy when the Cal Bears knocked off the Texas Longhorns in their home opener. The nationally televised game in Berkeley didn’t end until 11:37 pm. Five fans were ejected. One fan was arrested.

Arizona Wildcats vs. Utah Utes

Oct. 8, 2016

Utah celebrated homecoming weekend with a late kick-off against Arizona. In the fourth quarter, a fight broke out in the stands. One person was ejected, the other person was arrested for “resisting police.” By the end of the game, 28 fans had been kicked out of Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Washington Huskies vs. Oregon Ducks

Oct. 8, 2016

Forty-five fans were ejected from Autzen Stadium during a blow-out loss to rival Washington. Security records show 30 ejections for alcohol violations, three for disorderly conduct, five for misuse of a ticket and seven for unknown reasons. Four fans were arrested.

Arizona State Sun Devils vs. Colorado Buffalos

Colorado’s homecoming game in Boulder against Arizona State ended with 12 ejections. Most were alcohol related.

Oct. 22, 2016

There was plenty of time to tailgate in Tempe before the 7 pm kicked off against Washington State. Arizona State security cited and released 24 people for alcohol related offenses. One person was arrested for a fight. Seven fans were ejected.

Arizona State Sun Devils vs. Washington Huskies

Nov. 19, 2016

Twenty fans were ejected from the Washington-Arizona State game in Seattle. One woman had an especially rough afternoon. UW said officers found her in the women’s restroom. She was laying on the ground. “Female defecated in her pants and on the floor,” wrote officers in a report. She was ejected and taken to detox.
