A woman was struck and seriously injured while crossing the street in a crosswalk Wednesday night in Beaverton, according to police.

A woman was struck and injured while crossing the street in a crosswalk Wednesday night in Beaverton, according to police.

Olivia Niver, 25, was crossing at Southwest 117th street and SW Canyon Rd in a marked crosswalk when a pickup entered the crosswalk and hit her.

Niverwas taken to thehospital for her injuries, and was released by Friday morning.

The driver of the truck stopped, and was cooperedwith officers. Graham Meeds, 57, of Hillsboro was cited for Failure to Yield to a Pedetrian in a Crosswalk, a class B Violation and has a maximum fine of $382. There were no indications of alcohol or drug impairment.
