Woman arraigned for deadly Salem arson

A woman wanted in connection with a deadly house fire in Salem earlier this year was arrested in Mexico.

SALEM, Ore. -- A woman wanted in connection with a deadly house fire in Salem early this year was arraigned in court Wednesday.

Shray Lynne Thompson was arraigned in Marion County Circuit Court on a grand jury indictment for Murder, three counts of Arson in the First Degree, two counts of Tampering with a Witness, Assault in the Fourth Degree, and Hindering Prosecution.

Thompson, 34, was wanted in connection with the fire that killed 64-year-old Robert Flores on February 18th at a home they shared on Center St NE. in Salem.

Detectives said the fire was intentionally set.

On the day of her arraignment, police also said that Thompson had other victims, for crimes that occurred between the dates of December 9, 2010 and February 18, 2011.

Thompson was arrested in Mexico and deported to police in San Diego.
