VANCOUVER, Wash. – Three people were found dead after a reported murder-suicide in a Vancouver home Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators found 42-year-old Robert Diaz Gutierrez, his wife, 40-year-old Elizabeth Orozco, and his mother-in-law, 66-year-old Adela Ruiz-Gonzales, dead inside the home at 2614 NE 98th St.

A sheriff's office spokesman said the 911 caller reported a man fatally shot two women in a home, then killed himself.

Four children, ranging from 11 to 19 years old, were inside the house during the shooting. Authorities took them to another location.

Detectives said the incident began as a domestic argument earlier in the day that later escalated into the killings.

"I'm just really shocked and sad," said neighbor Casandra Montoya. "I don't like to hear about people getting hurt and dying and killing themselves."

"This is absolutely heartbreaking," said neighbor Georgia Maudsley. "You just never know."

Authorities said there was no danger to the public.
