CLATSOP COUNTY, Ore. – Two women from Washington County were killed in a two-car crash on Highway 26 near Seaside Saturday night.
Anali Aguilar Gaona, 21, of Cornelius was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her passenger, Marilyn Manriquez Gutierrez, 23, also of Cornelius, also died at the scene.
Oregon State Police report that the women’s 2006 Chevy Equinox was traveling eastbound on Highway 26 when it crossed the center line and struck a 2012 GMC pickup.
The driver of the GMC, Michael J. Heuvelhorst, 63, and his passenger, Linda J. Heuvelhorst, 69, were transported to local hospitals for nonlife-threatening injuries. Both are Seaside residents.
OSP troopers and emergency personnel responded at 7:30 p.m. to the crash, about 14 miles east of Seaside.
Speed is being investigated as a contributing factor in the accident.
