I5 shut down for 2 hours as crews extinguish truck fire
TANGENT, Ore.-- A semi-truck fire on Interstate 5 closed the freeway for 2 hours Friday. Around 6:45 PM Friday crews responded to a vehicle fire on I5 at milepost 227 near the town of Tangent, Oregon. Upon arrival, crews found a FED-EX truck loaded with mixed freight on fire.

TANGENT, Ore.-- A semi-truck fire on Interstate 5 closed the freeway for 2 hours Friday. Around 6:45 PM Friday crews responded to a vehicle fire on I5 at milepost 227 near the town of Tangent, Oregon. Upon arrival, crews found a FED-EX truck loaded with mixed freight on fire.
Fire crews from Albany, Tangent, Oregon State Patrol, and Oregon Department of Transportation responded. A special Haz Mat clean up company was called as well.
