PORTLAND, Ore. — Trader Joe's opened a new store location in east Vancouver on Friday.
The new store is located at 16701 Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard in the Columbia Crossing Shopping Center at the intersection of Mill Plain Boulevard and Southeast 164th Avenue. The nearly 10,500-square-foot store is Trader Joe's third location in Vancouver.
Trader Joe's said that it plans to hire 60 new crew members from the surrounding area to staff the store and transfer around 40 crew members from neighboring locations.
Through the national grocery chain's Neighborhood Shares Program, the Trader Joe's store location plans to donate any product that goes unsold but remains "fit to enjoy" to nonprofit community organizations.
The store's hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
