EUGENE - The quack attack has quieted down at University of Oregon's Autzen Stadium.

The Duck lips quacking noisemakers are not being allowed, fans at the first home game Saturday told the Register Guard.

The then-Pac 10 conference banned artificial noisemakers at stadiums about 10 years ago.

The conference is trying to make it uniform across the board, spokesman Dave Williford said.

Williford said security staff was instructed to educate fans about the new rules.

Longtime ticket holder David Perry said he was asked to kindly put down his Duck lips during the recent game against Nevada, and leave them at home next time. I was outraged, he told KGW.

The favorite fan noisemakers can still be used at other UOsporting events and stores planned to keep selling them, too.
