PORTLAND Portland is no stranger to seeing its name on best of lists, but the latest ranking gives residents extra bragging rights.
Portland was recently named the Best City in America by the real-estate company Movoto.
The list took into account 15 best-of lists the company complied this year, including lists ranking the nerdiest cities, healthiest, preppiest and most family-friendly.
It's nice to be at the top of these lists, said Megan Conway of Travel Portland. It is making people take a second look at those places they might be considering for 2014.
Although Portland scored well in many categories, the city was named the 13th hardest-working, 21st for family friendliness and 34th for saintly, measured by church attendance.
